ive been getting really into the whoal tapping on the body and hammering on harmonics and tapping and such of jon gomm. can anyone tell me what this style is called?

Michael Hedges was a big one for that, one of the first guys to get really carried away with that. Preston Reed is pretty good too, and has a custom guitar made for just that.
