im repainting my strat body soon

and im debating between a flat black, satin-esque finish

and a clearcoated, shiny black finish

thoughts?

For black, I would do gloss. I only use satin finishes for stains.

Didn't Kerry King use MGs at some point?

I think he just endorses them because he likes sacks of money

Well, gloss black is pretty, but a lot of people use that finish. IMO flat paintjobs aren't as pretty, but it's you're guitar.

It's a good thing I like boobs or I'd be more pissed that you just bumped a 2 week old thread for that

Well, if that's what you like, go for it. The only one that needs to be happy with it is you. :p

I prefer gloss over flat with black. The only downside to gloss black is that it shows so many freakin fingerprints

But a flat black might be better to fit the theme of the guitar, and it is your guitar, so you can do whatever you want with it, I guess.
