what you do is....

light a fire in a fireplace or pit...
throw in the guitar....
within about 30 minutes...they will be well off of the guitar.

That can't be good for the guitar.

All I can think of is repainting it. Or professionally repainting the autograph, I don't know.

I'm interested in who it is too. Otherwise, nail polish remove should take it off.

I removed sharpie from a pawn shop guitar with guitar polish and elbow grease.

lemme correct myself..tried hairspray on a small spot and it did take off the sharpie but it also took of some of the clear coat, made it soft

It is signed by Straylight Run, Kevin Devine and Street To Nowhere

Yikes, I would not use nail polish remover then. I agree with polish and elbow grease.

I hope you get it off, that wood looks sweet, don't repaint it! If all else fails, you could always resort to stickers.
#18
sweat can take it off in my experience.

btw i know this by drawing all over my desk at school in sharpie, and then spending the rest of the hour getting it off

sand the guitar and put on a new coat of finish, or actually since thats a fairly nice flame, get a pro to do it.

nail polish remover is your best bet. test it on a small section on the back first

Actually, sweat might just work. Try a really light salt water solution. Because, I have sweated off sharpie before. And that finish is awesome...

The hotbar should be floating parallel to the principle axis at this point. Next, take a hammer, and beat yourself in the face while crying JIHAD. problem fixed.

Love the flames on it...so maybe get someone skilled to sand it down and yeah...put a new stain or something on it....
