For my price range this seems to be a winner. I'm looking to spend $600-750 USD I've heard good things about the cleans and the gain channels. I play alot of metal, with a splash of some classic rock.

Gimme the rundown on it, especially if you own one.

It's good. Do you already have a cab? If you don't have a cab, I'd just recommmend getting the combo.

I only sat down with it for about 15 minutes. It can get some pretty good distortion, and a good lead tone, and pretty good cleans on it's own. I didn't spend that much time getting a feel for the sound, because of all the knobs it'll take a while to learn what it's truly capable of.

Good for you. Have a cookie.

But really... there's no cookie. And if there was, you wouldn't get one.

I know some people who have that head and seem to really like it. But it boils down to what you like, not them. Buy what sounds good to you. Don't take anyone elses advice on YOUR tone.

I already have a cab. I just need to try one out, but if they were just all out crappy I wasn't even going to bother. Seems like a good choice.
