ok so i bought this laptop not too long ago about 3weeks ago.
lately(about 4days ago) it's been acting weird.

- sometimes the right click does not work
- my touchpad(mouse) has a line on the edge that works like a scroll wheel that also stops working from time to time
- the internet explorer does not show the File,Edit,View, Etc. menu bar on top although i have checked and unchecked the box that adds this many times?

any suggestions as to what is causing this? i have norton antivirus and have scanned my computer but nothing shows up.
oh and the computer is a HP Pavilion DV6660se

thanks to anyone in advance

lol, Vista is alrite, if you have the premium

but see if you have a trackpad that may be a computer problem itself not software

as with the web browser, i believe your using internet explorer, one of the slowest browsers
out now, i suggest using firefox or safari there really fast, and that should solve your problem

Id call someone from geek squad or something

lol im here
seriously though i work for the geek squad in my city
if its that new it shouldn't have anything important on it
it you do just back it up and reinstall your os
and if that doesn't work it just looks like a defective model with the mouse pad and all
just take it in and get it exchanged

Might be a defect. Mouse pad not being responsive is usually an indication. Send it in.

and about the mouse pad-
the pad itself works but the scrolling line thingy on the pad doesn't work every now and then.

all you need is a couple of dvds to make a restore disc(about 3) and in the search thing on the start menu type in recovery and something like recovery cd should come up
if it was purchased at best buy then you dont get a refund for the warranty
you can use the warranty to get it sent out and fixed but that just covers hardware
