I'm in D standard alot but sometimes also go to drop d or drop c. What gauge should i get? I also play mostly metal.

What guage are you using now, on what guitar (scale length if you can).

a set of 11's would prabobly work best for you if you're going to use drop D and C tunings.

11s in Drop D or D standard would need truss rod adjustment...

TS, go for a set of 10s. Failing that, some Skinny Top Heavy Bottom sets might do the trick.

OK, first of all, do your strings feel loose? Because if you're comfortable playing them, then keep 'em.

I swear Standard D is lower than Drop C

Cos i use my jackson in D standard(DGCFAD for all you n00bs out there) and drop down to Drop C, But isnt drop D a higher tuning than Standard D?
