that looks ****ty
Vikings? What Vikings? We are but poor, simple farmers. The village was burning when we got here, and the people must have slain themselves.

Hmm, i would have to look at the track listing, i aint buying if the tracks are crap

That looks reasonably cool - Sort of a good idea for beginners to step up from Guitar Hero from. I don't agree that "it wouldn't teach you anything" though - Even playing Guitar Hero for a few days helped developed my technique a bit, so using a real guitar would be considerably better...

If it worked out and became popular enough I'm sure you would eventually just be able to download new songs.
None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free.

Ive been saying this since guitar hero first came out.

SAXEDIT:
You should be able to switch from tabs to standard notation to be able to practice sight reading. Now I'd pay for that.
#15
Isn't it like Guitar Pro with less songs and a nice interface?

...why not just plug my guitar into my amp, though? It's all the same... I could just read the tabs as I play.
#18
Hey this is actually a pretty good idea. I know everyone is saying your better off with guitar pro, but I think it might be kinda cool to challenge yourself and beat other peoples scores

yeah, there's the score thing wich is great. But I wouldn't recommend it as something to rely on for practice.

I think I'll just go with mah Guitar Pro for now.

Ibanez RGR320 with Lo-Edge Pro bridge and scalloped fretboard

Fantastic, that is a great idea. I actually was talking about this kind of thing to some friends; it may actually help GH fans to play guitar.

I hope there is a wide range of music - maybe different discs with different genres etc.

yea man, who ever doesnt like pantera or think they suck doesnt like metal, end of discussion, they changed the freakin world n made history, so don't be sayin they suck, have respect, same goes for machine head n lamb of god cuz their good too

I think it's a great idea, A tab you can play along to like power tabs/guitar pro and gives you feedback on how well you've learned the song.

Genius.

I'd buy an entire PS3 rig and Guitar Hero if that were to actually be released. I actually wouldn't suck at the game for once. Those controllers are wack.
#24
If that blows up to be huge...what will happen to sites like UG?

O.O

And beating other people's scores? Whatever happened to ol' fashioned guitar dueling?
#26
I'm definitely going to buy one, I reckon it could help my skills immensely

I actually don't like it. They took away the simplicity and charm of guitar hero.
What's exactly the difference between using Guitar Pro and that game?
Guitar Hero was a game. This is a practicing tool.

Well. It'l stop me from bitching about Guitar Hero. (I've found out I suck at guitar hero, my excuse? It was the vodka's fault)

In general though, I think it's a good idea.

Well, why get so close to the real thing? If you're going that far, it's pointless.

I dnt see how it will work because how will you know what fret to play? and if u learn it easier then ure not actually learning the song, just a variety on the song, therefore bull crap! Guitar hero ftw!
