I've not used one, I really want to, but I've heard good things about the Rev Jr stack, which I'm guessing you're talking about. Even people who hate Krank are having a hard time finding stuff wrong with it to talk about

I've had tube amps for a while now, but never actually had any go down on me

maybe you're not saying the right things? an amp likes to know you care.

You speak of the Krank Revolution Jr. I've been eyeing this amp up since it came out, and I plan on ordering the stack off musiciansfriend.com in a week or two. I doubt I know much more about it than you since I've never got to actually use one either cause I only live near lame stores (yes, GC is lame) that don't carry them. My 120w 6505 has way too much volume for practicing, and it's a pain to haul from my apartment to rehearsals. I've been doin a ton of research on them though to make sure that it will be the right decision, and I've decided to go for it. 20w will be loud enough to keep up with my drummer and bass player, and I love the tone of the revolutions... it looks sweet and won't take a ton of space at home. Only thing I don't like about it is that stupid shared knob for the krank channels gain and klean channels volume, and no footswitch for selecting the channel/effects loop, but we play death metal and only have like, 2 songs with clean parts and I figure i'll just let the other guitarist do those parts.

Anyways, I'll post my opinion here when I actually get it, which can't come soon enough.

i'd like to try one head to head with a koch studiotone. that'd be a good test.
I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

Sure, i'll even try to post some samples with my sennheiser and maybe an sm57 if i can get a hold of one by then. I've heard other samples on the net but I want to record some heavier samples in C tuning cause i think thats what a majority of ppl that play kranks play in anyway... at least the ones i know. But yeah, rest assured i'll post here cause I'll want to show off the shiny little beast.

Well, unfortunately, my plans on getting this amp have been forced to change. Musiciansfriend has been out of stock on them for months it seems, and cant give me a real date when they'll show. With the Rev Jr pro not far off I think I'll be waiting until the summer and purchasing one of those. No shiney grill goodness for a while
