alright, i'm changing the tuning from standard down to d standard (DGCFAd)

could i do this with the fine tuners?
should i?

and after tuning it down, would i have to adjust anything? (spring tension, etc)
i play an 8 string

I'd say thats a way too big a jump for fine tuners, nothing 'fine' about that.

As for tension, the ZR might be ok with the ball bearing pivot, but check the angle tyhe bridge is sitting at and adjust it to sit flat if it tilts back too much.

Yeah, reserve the fine tuners for keeping your strings in tune once you get there....

damn i love the ZR

i tuned it down in less than 5 minutes
that would have been ungodly on a floyd
i play an 8 string
