We have a school talent show coming and I want a piece that I can dedicate to a recently deceased teacher

I was thinking along the lines of the interworld and the new innocence by buckethead

No huge solos n stuff, just a nice "emotional" song

Any ideas?
Find out what the teacher's favorite song was and play that.

since i dont have you by guns n roses. it has a lovely intro and its quite emotinal. ill admit its maybe to love oriented but you could do it instrumental. its a lovely guitar riff and very slow solos
since you like buckethead you could do soothsayer or whitewash or padmasana those are some emotional songs from him... or maybe beware of the holdin funnel
padmasana is a lovely track to do on acoustic. emotional like anything
I thought school was all about pupils versus teachers!?

I was going to vote "Little Wing" by Hendrix. It's a well known song, and was actually written as a tribute, however it was to his mother, and the lyrics escape me right now, so I don't know if it would sound a bit awkward. I didn't even think about it, but Lenny by SRV would also be a great choice.
