I just bought a Cliff single button footswitch from musiciansfriend. I cant seem to get it to channel switch on my peavey bandit. How do I get it to channel switch, which jack does it have to go in?

well i mean there is no footswitch in. It has a High Gain In, Low Gain IN, Send, REturn, Power amp in, Power amp out (or preamp whatever it is), then it has a remote jack and the external speaker jack

Plug it into remote. If it doesn't work, then it's not going to.

Yea. Having a footswitch for a practice amp isn't terribbly necessary, anyway.

I built one for my Laney VC15 it's totally necessary...

Thats because its either switching the effects loop or reverb on or off.

The Bandit used to ship with Peavey's two button footswitch with TRS cable.

Try pulling the cable out an 1/8th of an inch, see if is clicks into place. If it does, try switching channels. If that works, you're welcome

I had one for my Valvetronix...and wait, I did use it once.

Once.

Well the bandit has a footswitch made for it. But i've heard its overpriced, made of plastic, and breaks way too often. That means it has to be able to channel switch with a footswitch. So what else is there I could do? It does nothing in the remote jack. And if you put it in the external cabinet jack then it can be a killswitch. What I mean my killswitch is it will mute the amp and guitar completely.

If you plug it in the ext. cabinet jack, it'll probably be a killswitch allright - might kill your amp.

I'd say that goes for most amps.
