i have a squier strat and am looking to put some new tuners in..

if i get the fender schaller locking tuners, will it require any modifications to the headstock? it'll probably be worth it anyway, but i just don't want to screw up the neck at all...

you might just want to get a bone nut put on there by a professional instead of using new tuners. it helps with a lot of tuning problems and it's cheaper. either that or buy a better guitar, unless you're using the squier for modification reasons

I heard that you had to drill an extra little hole on the underside of the tuner for Squiers because their tuners were slightly different. I haven't done it myself, so I can't really say for sure. I just noticed a couple of reviews for them that said that when I was looking at them.

Yeah, you have to. It's no trouble to fill the other one, though.
Sincerely, Chad.
