You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

Get a Carvin. DEFINITELY most bang-for-your-buck and you can pretty much customize to your every need.

Japanese build quality is more than enough to make it superior to the others. The Deans are very inconsistent. ESP LTD long term durability is a question mark due to their Korean construct. Go with the Jackson.

You didn't specify that.

And except for the Jackson, all the guitars are probably MIK. So excluding the Jackson, it boils down to pickups and feel.

$800 base price for a Carvin

You have 3 guitars in your list that are $1000+...

The carvin looks kind of......ugly.

Yeah, it's really a shame.. but the Carvin Vs look like crap.

Oh yeah, the RR5 is easily the sexiest of the lot. Both looks and spec wise imo.

the ninja looks nice but id go with the mustaine or the ltd explorer

i personally LOVE the ninja, and i pretty much love the neck profiles on ESP/LTD way better than any of those guitars i never liked Jackson necks, and Deans are ok.
So i would go with the Ninja, tho that they are built in Korea all ESP/LTD i have played are very well built! the only thing that the jackson RR5 is better is that it's USA made (or Japan i don't remember), and the shape (extremely comfortably to play both standing and sitting).

And just that i don't make any Jackson fan completely mad this is just MY opinion i'm not saying that Jacksons are bad guitar i'm just saying that i prefer those other guitars over it. Many people like Jacksons but i personally don't

the Ninja looks beast, plus i think its the sig from the guitarist of Arch Enemy, and he can shred, so...yeeah.
#35
What amp do you have? spending that much on a guitar paired up with a crappy amp is not the best idea.

I like the ninja and the RR5
#36
Well i voted for the 3rd one on the list, but it isnt the 3rd picture, so....I really meant to vote for the Jackson...never played one, but i think it looks sexy!

Sound and playability is subjective, all of which are greatly influenced by setup and minor tweaks. Also, you do know they are made in the same factory right (Stars and the RR5)?
