I just started a new band, and we wanna play nu metal style stuff,
does anyone know what tuning would be good for this genre?

and jw, does anyone know of any catchy bass lines i could use?

any of the drop D tuneing (dadg, cgcf,ect ect) would probly work. just use what your guitarist is useing.

go to musician talk. go to the stickied theory FAQ thread and go to the thread post and find where it says stuff about lonians, dorians, ect. ect. and find the one with nu metal. will help somewhat. drop d and drop c is good. or and entire step down.

i think drop c would be good, because that low tone works for metal a lots of bands, like Bleeding Through, Killswitch Engage, Atreyu, etc. uses drop c
