*Sigh* alright. I'll stumble to the studio to take a pic with my ****ty video camera. My dad has been using my Kodak for work.

Back in ten or so.

Edit: sorry, no pics. I can't get them off this damn camera. It'll have to wait.
Sincerely, Chad.

i LOVE the look of the 4003 (probably the best looking bass imo)

how does it play?

Thanks. The neck is very narrow has a gradual taper making it really comfortable to play in the upper register. The action is very low and I use flats. This is actually a 4001 model. They look the same though.

Damn you and your obvious wealthiness.....I wants a Rick....

Wow, those are gorgeous. *Cries.* I wish I had a Rickenbacker...
"What was that?! *Sigh.* Here, hold my 'I Can't believe I'm Helping You' pie and watch this...."

Oh man, after posting that picture of Serge Pizzorno, I really want a 481! Such a beautiful guitar, i love the bass design! One day... one day.
#16
Yep. I tried the 360 but liked the neck on the 330 better. 360 wins for looks though, yours is really nice!

I've never played a Rickenbacker. No offense but those have to be the ugliest things I've ever seen.

i have a 30 year old 4001 bass.. but its at my band's rehersal room atm... and the owner is on holiday so i can't get to it.. safely locked away, from its rightful owner lol
I like analogue Solid State amps that make no effort to be "tube-like", and I'm proud of it...

...A little too proud, to be honest.

This is my brother's 320 that I commandeered from him, he never plays it after he got a VG Strat.

Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics, I may take some better ones later.
There ain't no moral to this story at all. Anything I tell you very well could be a lie.

Oh God those guitars are hot. I've had trouble finding them in regular local stores and I know Guitar Center doesn't carry them anymore. I know they're expensive, but can anyone tell me the cheapest model and if it's worth the money?

My dad got the one in my pic for my brother used for like $700-800 American If I remember correctly.

EDIT: I think they might sell them in Sam Ash, they're on the website.

Look at the cutaway on that guitar!

EDIT: Come to think, my guitar teacher has one of their guitars. He wouldn't let me touch it.

I've checked Sam Ash online, and damn they're still expensive If I want one, it'll have to be used or I'd blow my life savings.

Yeah, the 320 plays great. Needs new strings though. I'll get some of those and a new set of bridge saddles for my Tele next time I go to GC

Yesterday I went to the music stores to kill some time. There was a white '79 4001 priced at $1495. There were notes on the price tag indicating that there had been some things changed. The neck pickup had been replaced along with the original truss rod cover. The finish had turned to a pale yellow, even orange in some areas. Right next to it was a new Jetglo 4003 for $1499.

Which one would you choose?

My teacher has the guitar and a guy I know from school has a 4003

That's a 620, just so you know. The 320 is a short-scale model, like John Lennon's, but without the vibrato. I've got a few: a 4003 bass in white with black trim and hardware, a 660/12 in Desert Gold, a 325c58 in Mapleglo, and a 330 in Blueboy. I've owned many others, and they have all been absolutely incredible instruments. They are worth their weight in gold.

#36
And here are a few that I used to own: a 4003 in Mapleglo, a 330/12 VP in Fireglo, a 620 in Turquoise, a 360 in Greyglo, a 360 in Midnight Blue, a '80 4001 in Jetglo, a 360/12 in Mapleglo (my first Ric), a 650D Dakota in natural walnut, and I also had a 4004Cii in Transparent Red (not pictured.

This one is one that I sold for a friend. It's a '63 425

#37
Oh my god I'm flabbergasted. How can you afford those? I know they were cheaper years ago, but most of them looks fairly new.

I recently acquired a 480 which belonged to Serge Pizzorno of Kasabian - it's very comfortable to play.....
