Both my self and the 2nd guitarist are looking into the vox ac30 custom classic seris CCH and 4x12 for my self and 2x12 for him. I have never tryed this amp yet but i was wondering how good it done indie music? The wholse bands favourite band is Oasis so we kinda need to nail that tone aswell as other indie both indie celans with oasis type overdrive?

The reason im asking is ive heard noel gallagher ( oasis ) uses

ac30's
jcm900's
bluesbreakers
fenders
oranges
and the new vintage modern

so i wasnt sure if something else would suit him better?

thanks :P

Yeah, an AC30 would nail it. Are you sure you need a half stack? The combos are pretty amazing too.

Out of interest, why do you feel the need for a 4x12 when he's getting a 2x12? Do you feel inadequate in certain places?

The amp is perfect for Oasis flavored indie, although I'm not sure if you want both guitarists in your band using the same amp.

What cab do you have in mind?

Fender amps, like the Bassman or Super Reverb would be real nice. Orange AD30TC. Those would probably be my first choices. Or second, after the AC30.

A lot of amps could do indie well, though, all across the price spectrum. From Peavey Classics to Mesa Lonestars. Check out Traynor and Kustom, too.

Well, I'd take the head version, and a cab, over the combo.

Why?

Because it's so goddamn heavy. Even the CC1 1x12 was 60 lbs.

Mesa Single Rectifier (Series 1)
