I've started learning sweeping a couple of days ago - on distortion, playing 3 string sweeps at slow speeds cleanly then building them up.

How long did it take you to be decent at sweeping?

I know it's going to take around at least 2 months.

I'll be practicing sweeps for about 45 mins - 1 hour a day.
it took me close to a year of inconsistent practice to get 3 string sweeping to the point of where i was comfortable and confident on stage with them. It took me alot less time once I could do those with full movement to go from 3 strings to 4, 5 and 6. I practiced like 3 hours a day for about 2 weeks to get comfortable with 4 and 5. I practiced Between The Buried and Me's Alaska until I had it perfect.

So I just woke up sitting in my desk chair, with my bong on the desk in a bunch of little pieces and my hand super glued to my penis. Speculations as to what the hell just happened and how to unglue my hand from my member would be appreciated.

get a cheap marshall... my MG15DFX has a button that simulates the sound of one of the expensive tube marshall amps.
