standards.

but its your personal choice. dont let other ppl tell you what to buy. go play them and whatever feels/sounds the best to you is tha guitar for you.

True i just want a guitar that feels comfortable and is not wide and easy to hit all frets up to the 22nd and ill love it

also jsut wanna know why the deluxe is more expensive ? Like a comparasin.

The S-1 switching gives you a couple of more options, especially if you're using some distortion or overdrive. what does this mean for the deluxe?

I would get like a '57 reissue or whatever, but if not, I suppose a MIM standard; they're not bad, at least the ones I've tried, and really, with a PUP swap and a decent amp, they're as good as many strats.

one of the main reasons why deluxe is more expensive is the contour and the ash body

and for the pick-up selection explanation, google is your best friend.
