what kind of stomp box should i buy. i want to have a metal sound but i also want to be able to get a grunge sound as well. i own a rp200 but i know that stomp boxs have better tone qualities. i know i want to get delay and chorus at some point. i already own a berhinger ultra metal box but it sucks of course. should i upgrade that first or look at some others. my price range right now is $150. i dont want to be cheap and get more junk though so if you have one out of that range i can continue to save too. pls give the brand with the effect thx.

Wait for them by your door, and when they come.
Jump out with your wiener just hanging there and yell "Surprise!"
They'll never talk to you again, also make shure to helicoptor it a bit.

Save up and get a better amp. I assume by the fact you haven't listed your current one that your current one sucks, and no pedal will solve that I'm afraid.

my current amp is a crate 100w with 4 8" speakers it's good enough. no effects loop though
and i have a 40w peavey rage transtube too

You'd probably be better off putting all of that towards a new amp, because nothing is going to make that solid state crate get some decent metal tones.
I don't give a shit if you listen to me or not

Another problem is, assuming it's a head and cab configuration, is that those 8" speakers have no bottom end. This is not very good for metal. A decent 1, 2 or 4x12 cab would help too. Though I'd say you'd be better off just getting a b-52 at, rg50tc, or 5150 combo and not even worrying about the cab.
