It would be good if you did a poll. And for heavier/fuller tone i like the GHS Boomer 11's i've been using lately. But the ernie ball slinkies/super slinkies are good too, especially for playing fast.
#7
Peavey 9-42, or this one set of Jimi Hendrix strings I got, 9-42's.
I hope it's cold, everyday, where you are.

D'Addario 10's for standard and drop-D. I have 10-52 for C standard, but I think 12's might be in order.

DR strings are nice too, but D'Addario feels very similar and are much cheaper.

Good Lord man, and this is just for standard?! Especially the "14's". Do you just like the tension?

DR 11's....I might switch back to D' Addario though....

And my GC doesn't sell DR's in anything higher than 11 I think....I would love some DR 12's but I'll probably hace to go with D' Addario...

I play in C# standard once in a while, but mostly E standard (im so manly lulz!!1!!11!).

Yeah, it's the tension and tone that makes me like thicker strings. Since I started using .012+ sets, I've gotten to the point where I can't stand anything lower than .011 anymore (or sets with plain G strings (...don't even think about it)).

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

DR Tite Fit .09s. They do any genre, any tuning, any scale, and they hold up great.

Ghs Boomers Custom medium, at least thats what they say, and for my acoustic I use nothing but Eric Clapton Martin Signature strings

I agree with most other people here apparently, haha. I like D'addario .10's, the Nickel Wound ones. But I also like .12's if I feel like going a little heavier. It's really hard to bend those though.

My Guitars:
Fender Mustang.
Yamaha FG-413SL.

I love DR's.

+1 especially the coated ones.

Go into Guitar Center sometime and say "I'd like a pack of DR Coated 9-42's." They will sound a siren and announce your excellent purchase to the entire store, then the manager will come and shake your hand and congratulate you, and the whole staff will subsequently carry you out of the store on their shoulders and see you off. "Happy Jammin'!"

I'm serious.
