hey im looking for an new amp. i have 400 pounds (550 euro) to spend and i play metal mostly but nice cleans are also needed. i have done a lot of searching on this site but i wanted more advice so i dont make a mistake and waste my money cause it's taken me a while to save (im still in school). i want to stay away from half stacks if at all possible so combo reccomendations only please.

ive looked at these so far:

marshall dsl 401

Randall rg50tc

The VKs worth a shot I'd say. All I can add is the tiny terror probably doesn't have the gain you're looking for and the randall isn't known for it's cleans.
I don't give a shit if you listen to me or not

Out of those 3, I'd say go with the DSL.

I, for one, am not a big fan of the valvekings. I find them to be muddy, lacking in the low-end, and generally bland. Then again, many users here have a better opinion of them, and they are widely regarded as "good for the money." Is there any chance you could convert that to American $ for me? I could be more helpful.

Depends what metal. The 2000's got a good amount of gain, so I would say you should be set with it, unless want to play death metal or something like that. The 2000's got a good tone, and I really dont think you'll need a pedal to get the gain you want out of it.

Look into Traynors... I think they have some models between $750 and 800 that would suit your needs.

it's probably between the marshall and the randall unless you go second hand. it's ages since i've tried the marshall, so i really wouldn't want to say which is better...

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.
