i know that using a bass is bad for it, so if a keyboard also potentially harmful?

No I really couldn't see it harming it at all. There's such things as 7 string guitars and drop tunings and whammy bars to produce low sounds and the amps handle them.

Although a bass amp would likely work better.
Do you use a BR-600?

i was thinking cause the lower keys are much lower frequencies than a guitar would normally produce.

Yeah a guitar amp is going to break up a lot. It'll sound pretty crappy.

I'm preety sure it wont damage your amp. I use my keyboard with my marshall MG15cd (yeah i know ) and it sounds a lot better than the speakers of the keyboard.
