i´ve had the rp350 for like 5 months and is great, but my question is
what do i need on my computer to record with the rp?
i already downloaded the digitech X-Edit.
what else do i need to do?

If you have the latest firmware and drivers, then all you need is a recording program. A good free one that a lot of people (including myself) use is Audacity. Once you have it up and running, connect your USB cord, set the input device in your preferences to "Digitech RP350," and then you can record normally.

I thought that too at first. X-Edit is just used for managing the models/presets on your pedal. It's a lot easier to change presets through X-Edit than by using the pedal's knobs.

how can i fix that? chnging the preset?

It'll always sound different, but if you like, try changing the setting on the back (a push-in button) from Amp to Mixer.

I know when i use guitarport, you have to have GearBox opened up before you record with it, so X-Edit pretty much just to adjust tones.
The reason it isnt sounding the same on the computer as it does on your amp is because your amp already had an EQ built into so its going to sound different on the computer because the computer does have an EQ (i think that makes sense)

I use EXPStudio Audio Editor. Its pretty nice. Ive used Audacity and i dont really like it.
