So i bought a used 14 year old 5150 combo on ebay awhile ago, and i'm about to change the tubes. Long story short, i have two 6l6 power amp tubes, and two 12AX7s, and i understand that i need three more 12AX7s for a full tube swap. Now, lets get down to the details. The tubes i have are GT-12AX7-R, the tubes on musicians friend are GT-12AX7-C. Is there a huge difference in these? Or will i be able to pop them in with no problem?

Thanks in advance

so the C and the R wont interfere with eachother? and these were handed to me way back when i was a guitar tube nube

EDIT: ok well after some research, R is Russian, and C is Chinese, so i should be good to go. if not, speak up now before i order them

Yeah I have a couple different types of tubes in the pre-amp of my Recto. Few Mesa tubes, and a couple Tung-Sols.

Actually, anything John ^^ said right there works .
