just a question on triads and getting from one to another.

A good example would be in Yngwie's rising force where he goes from the a minor triad to the lower octave and back again; as well as in Eugene's Trick Bag by Steve Vai where Vai goes from Bmaj - Dmaj - Amaj - Emaj - Emaj (lowered octave) - Dmaj - Dmaj (lowered octave)

I was wondering whether I should keep my index on the string and slide down and up to the triads or should I let go completely and re-find my place on the neck.

On one hand, sliding aloows me to reach the triad more accurately whereas letting og allows for a quicker movement, but I have a nigher chance of screwing up.

Which one should I be using?
