Are there any production models that are NOT signature strats that currently have thicker necks than the standard C shape?

I am talking something like a D.

Well, since Fenders are all bolt-on, even if there aren't any stock that way, you could easily change the neck.
Gear:
Jackson Pro Series DK2 Dinky (Eerie Dess Swirl)
Ibanez XPT700 Xiphos (Chameleon Red) =D

Crate FXT65 amp with 3-way foot switch
Ibanez Weeping Demon Wah Pedal

U shaped necks, I think, are like Ibanez Wizards, thin and flatter.

Try and find a Robert Cray strat neck laying around? Check ebay, and the like.

For the reccord, the Rober Cray strat is really subtle and nice. Hartail, big yummy neck. *shrug

Thanks for that useless post "latinosuperstud" containing information that a) I already know, and b) States something that I wrote in my original post.

The Robert Cray sig looks nice...but its a sig, and besides, I can't find any necks of his anywhere. Isn't his just a C shape anyways?

Because they now cost 1549.99...ridiculous. They all used to be 1399.99, with the exception of the Eric Johnson strat.

I feel your pain. I've never found a <€1000 Fender with a neck that is thick enough. Actually, make that any brand. Over €1000 there are still not many good (standard production) necks.

People want matchsticks, so that's all they make.

You sure? They're about €800 here.
