A local shop here has an older one they are letting go cheap... I was thinking of getting one to replace my VMAP2 after it **** the bed. My main question though is this: Does it do effects well? I would be getting this mainly to run in my amp's Effects Loop at church due to its small size and (I think anyway) battery power. Also, how do these do from the recording side of things?

Cant go wrong with the Pandora, as long as you like switching with your hands.

You could get $1000 custom made pickups hand wired with Eric Johnsons pubic hair, and they'd still sound pretty bad through a ****ty solid state practice amp.

Hey, bought one recently, and it's great at reproducing lots of amps, cabs, and all the effects you'll ever need. As Redneck says, they are great if you like switching with your hands. Mine is grand, just use it for home practice, or between gigs on the bus..
