There's a squire electric guitar at my local pawn shop. It costs $80.
It looks decent. Should I go for it? It's got humbuckers... I love those.
If I should go for it, what can I say to get them to lower the price?
Thanks.

Pawn shops are scary, if you don't know why watch Pulp Fiction.

It's a Squire.

And from my experience most Pawn shop guitars are almost worthless. They usually have something wrong with them.
None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free.

You can definately buy the guitar for 50.

My first guitar was from a pawn shop. Some custom Hamer I spent 2 months not eating lunch just to buy. Was worth it, though I don't have it anymore. If you really have nothing else to spend the $80 on....
#11
I'd say go for it, but only if you can get it down to under $70.

And don't listen to those "don't get it, it's Squire" people. I've had a Squire Strat, and it treated me fine

Pull a Dimebag, when you see a guitar you like, pick it up and pop one of the strings with a bend. Chances are the strings are ratty and it wont take much. Then start complaining the bridge is ****ed up or something and make a lower offer.

i dont think id ever get one from a pawn shop cuz im afraid that it would be stolen then the original owner would be liek "dude gimme that back"
then i wouldnt wanna give it up....
sig under construction.

yea, allthough i like pawn shop guitars because i get them cheaply and fix whatever the issues are, like a recently got an epiphone les paul studio for $330, only thing that was wrong were 2 knobs were lose, i tightened them and it was like i bought it new
