If the chorus rules the lyrics, then why do I still try,
If choice is my freedom, why have I chosen to die?

If the band wrote the music, flowing harmony in sight
learning the tricks of their trade, erasing conflict from inside.

If the program wrote the code, could we be alright,
all of us living in peace, or would we all just fight?

But forced thought is impossible, nothing comes to mind,
just the droning of emotion, in the cold meter of time.

Parting with god, the feeling is one of a kind,
being all alone, and floating with the tide.
Feeling things that I thought I knew,
making me sad, making me blue.
Especially the things that are actually true.

All you need is here, just behind these cold eyes,
you can take it as right, or you can make it a lie,
but take it all with you, don't forget to try,
and above all else, don't forget to get high.

wow.. this is the most scatterbrained group of words ever.
is this about anything in particular?

at first i think you're writing about how the chorus rules the lyrics (which kinda sounded cool)
then you talk about suicide, and i get thrown off
but then you go back to a band learning their instruments and writing
but the music lacks emotion?

this is SO CONFUSING.

I really like the first half it reminds me of Fade To Black. Although it does kinda sound as if your rhyming scheme is rather forced.
Do you use a BR-600?
If so, click here to join the group thats made for you!

I fixed the structure a little bit...
However, the chorus does rule the lyrics, this whole poem is hypothetical, it's not suicide I'm actually talking about, its the choice,
as for going back to the band, thats just the structure I chose... for some reason
