yes, yet another thread about iPod problems


Ive had my ipod for about a year and a half. recently, its been randomly shutting off and now it wont turn on and my computer wont recognize it. Ive had no previous problems with it. could anyone help?

They usually begin to break down between 1- 2 years. That is the most likely explanation.

Hm, that's strange. That happened to a few of my friends. Is your iTunes up to date? If not, it could be one of the reasons why. (What an Apple store employee suggested to a friend.)

The internal battery could be dead. Happens every 1-2 years and from what I hear, it's a bitch to get it replaced.

since i bought the warranty thingy for 3 years, i got a new (free) one every year... YEAH.... but this is my last year so after this one i have to buy a new ipod... wich is good cause i need the 80gb

its not a classic its the previous model. i actually got it february 2006. does that still mean the hard drive is failing?

Did you rrecently download a patch for it? Same ting happened to me, to fix it hold down the middle button and the menu button at the same time for 5-10 seconds, or until the apple logo comes on.

Fixed, but don't download any patches.
