I am looking for a list of all around guitar books for beginners to intermediates for the university guitar club I am in. It would be nice to have a list soon because we have to submit a budget to the student board so we can get some moneys to purchase the books. thanks a lot in advance.

IMO Hal Leonard does some very good guitar tuition books.

the first book i got was "uncle toms first year" sounds lame but its actually pretty good. it explains the basics of constructing scales and chords, the basics of music theory, and the circle of 5ths......for a first book its great, its not too complicated to where you will be overwhelmed, but it teaches you new things too. it acts like a first step into everything, and after you can get more intermediate or advanced books and know whats goin on
