I'm going to swot my BMus grade and i need to audition.

I need an awesome song that looks difficult but isn't too tricky. i have been playing 11 months, but i play better than my friends who have been playing 2 years.

something like nothing else matters is too easy. i can already play it. and everybody around hear can play it. I'm not too fond of chords so not too much of it in the song

I have an Ibanez Artwood.

Any suggestions?

As I suggest (not helping, but it's what I do) to everyone, Binge And Grab by none other than Buckethead. Instrumental version of course

Solo was a pain in the ass until I sat down and actually worked on it though.

There has to be some sort of contract where in order to mention the word guitar, you have to know who the f*ck Jimi Hendrix is.

I don't know what "tipe" he played, but I know he was one the geniuses of the electric guitar and completely redefined rock music.

Co-President of UG's Tubgirl Virgins Club

Good luck dude, my friend did her BMus audition, and she's been playing piano for like 10 years, and she was lucky to get in.

You might want to stay away from straight up Rock.

I know that's how it was around here, they prefer classical, especially on guitar.

so coz i dont know somebody who plays guitar im not a guitarist. sounds like a child's opinion. knowing him wont make me a better player will it? i have never even heard somebody here say his name. Here he doesnt exist. South Africa doesnt have any world renowned guitarists.

I think we all made our point clear to the TS, let's all stop bashing him and actually help him out, by the way TS the song I mentioned Little Wing is by Jimi Hendrix but Stevie Ray Vaughn did an awesome cover of it, check it out.

Lenny - Srv
Riviera Paradise - Srv
Little Wing - Jimi Hendrix OR Srv

Fairly easy songs, and they seem to impress people when played. And if you are terrible at singing, Lenny, Riviera Paradise and Little wing (Srv Version) have no vocals..
