Ya, kind of a newbie. But still I have done a lot on this site before getting to this forum.
Anyway, what I am looking for is great starter songs for bass. I know Anarchy in the UK, Stand by me, seven nation army. So yeah, songs at the same rate.

One more thing: I want some friends on here, so don't hesitate! Visit my profile

I don't mind him.
He wont let his kids play in water before they can swim.

No, what songs should I try first?
I mainly play after songs from my fave bands.. like Pistols, ramones etc. So I just find the easiest tabs to learn from ^^

I laughed really hard at this.
Note: 'at', not 'with'.

For Whom The Bell Tolls by Metallica is easy.
Xbox Live tag: Dream Away Rain

Not really it's not

TS, all bassists need to know the Peter Gunn theme...it's some kind of unwritten law. The riff to Another One Bites The Dust by Queen is simple enough and instantly recognisable.

You post in beginner forum? Since when?

P.S. Great, needs more posting.

EDIT: Sweet Child O' Mine is a decent bass song to learn.

I post occasionally...gives me a headache though

I might be old but I can still remember what it was like when I was starting, which is kind of odd considering there's kids who've been playing 7 months that don't seem to be able to

bass? RATM everything they write is easy

Troll..

Hysteria by Muse is always a winner, though that's more intermediate playing.

Lenny Kravitz - Mama Said, that's just an awesome funk riff, it's not very easy thought I'd say it's pretty indermediate.

FFS. If you are just starting on bass, do not try to learn slap. In general, it is a showy but useless skill. Outside of RHCP and some funk, very little music requires it.

Learn basic finger/pick playing first.

Try to learn how to read music, and the name of the notes on the fretboard (boring, but immensly useful) as then some scale/arpeggios.

Mix it up with some songs you like. Simply browse music. If you think you can play it, give it a try.
