Alright, i recently got an esp-ltd viper 100fm and i was thinking about getting some new pickups. i play through a line 6 spider lll 15 amp, and i currently have esp LH 150 pickups. i want some pickups that get some good distortion, but also have a nice tone while playing clean. and im a little low on money, so nothing too expensive.

any suggestions?

Warning, all you're going to get from a post like this is, buy a new amp.

I agree, but just letting you know haha.
Next time don't mention that you have a line 6

New pickups won't make much of a difference through a modeling amp, you should look into a new one. What's your price range?

And if you go with actives it might make your sound worse.

Get you a good tube amp first then maybe think about new pickups.

Dude, you have a $200 guitar. Leave the pickups alone. Save your money and buy a different amp and a different guitar if you want some better sounds. The old saying

"It is what it is" holds true in your case. What did you expect from a $200 guitar and a Line 6?

I once played a show with EMG81's through a Boss MetalZone pedal into a Marshall MG 100W

As much as it'll annoy you to hear it again and again, you'll just be told to get a new amp. That is, one that's not a practice amp.

And for the record, line6 amps are awesome....just not the spiders.

Flextone and Vetta though....Brilliant amps!

Oh my, how did you escape alive? I can imagine what that tone was like and I would think the mob would get angry after the second note, rush the stage, and burn you at the stake!
