tele or strat... the clarityand bite of single coils work best for ska... and they can handle gain for punk, not for metal, but definitely punk

^ the hollwbodies also work well, not as bright (which i like when i play ska), but have a nice warm ring to them...

the only ska artist ive seen use an ibanez solid body model was bradly nowell... and he was more dub-ish, it could work but i feel that thinner necks make chording more difficult.

how do you feel about the 72 custom strat? i played one a little while back i liked the sound but the strings seem really far off the neck. are most of them like that or did i just pick up a bad one?

sublime, reel big fish, pennywise, the offspring used something similar to the solidbody, ibanez rg350, 350-525 bucks... maybe

tom kalnoky played that ibanez artcore hollowboady. 320-470 bucks

the epi casino 600 bucks and the charvel surfcaster 550+ bucks are my opinions on good ska guitars

the sheraton II has a nice thin neck and humbuckers will probably be better than the p90s in the casino

I think p-90s might be better, since they have more high end and clarity. That's probably better for ska and more versitile overall.
