To be honest, the Sony Ericsson software is terrible anyway. Just let windows install the drivers, and transfer stuff like it was an external drive of sorts.

Well, if you're transferring files, go for mass storage...

Well, that's what I did on my w880i, and do on my present k850i.

ok and the phone will automatically read the files?

Ahh, why would you get the w880? it looks so strange and boxy!

(I work for virgin mobile, I'm allowed to be a phone nerd)

If it's a really old pc though will it even recognise the data uplink cable?

You could try buying an sd card reader.

I needed a replacement for my k750i, because it died. That was an excellent phone.

To be honest though... The k750i outperformed the w880i when it came to specs, and it was a couple of years older aswell lol.

And I ain't sure, only one way to find out... Also, I thought the w580i used a M2 card?

Yeah, just make sure you go on the directory...

Phone card -> Music.

'Cause it won't recognise it if you put it anywhere else.

Put it onto another phone first and bluetooth it.

Buy an sd card reader, put it all on there then insert the SD card into her phone.

Get an infrared port for your pc.

Yeah I don't think they're putting as much into new phones, they all seem rushed.

Yes it uses an M2 card but you can buy an adapter, usually comes with the m2 card when you buy it, that will make it regular sd sized.

I didn't get an M2 card adapter when I got my phones.

No, I meant when you buy a new card, you get a 3-in-1 kinda thing. They give away ridiculously stingy cards when you buy the phones anyway
