I grew up in the same small town
Frmo birth I knew my way around
All my friends and family
Always there supporting me
What else could a gilr like me need?

Someday I hoped i'd be a big star
Playin' notes on my red guitar
My fans would scream, they want some more
I'd shopping daily at the Harrods store
What else could a girl like me need?

I'd be playin' out with friends till dark
Fam'ly and teachers sayin i'm a bright spark
Look at me, look at me i'd call
Not once did I tumble, not once did I fall
What else could a girl like me need?

My looks didn't really matter to me
My curly blonde hair, flowing and free
My rosey red cheek, one either side
With blue eyes to see long and wide
What else could a girl like me need?

Now im growing, almost a women
Could mean I can have even more fun
There will be problems along the way
But i'll be optimistic, think and say,
What else could a girl like me need?

But i'll be optimistic, think and say,
What else could a girl like me need?
