Okay, So I've read the diminished scale info on the Music Theory FAQ
Now, I've been told that diatonic scales can only have one of each letter name
(I.E you can't have Ab and A#, its Ab and Bb), but that means the scale could only have 7 notes. If I counted correct, the Diminished scale has 8 notes. So how exactly would you go about that?
And you can't spell funeral
without fun
hope you had a good time
cuz now your life is done

The diminished scale is octatonic, meaning 8 note scale.
