Im pretty pissed right now, i was swinging by the guitar center to buy the Krank Revolution they had there. I have played it extensivly, and it was the only one i can find withen a 500 mile radius. I am pretty ticked about it, since they told me they would hold it untill Friday the 15. So as im walking in I saw someone carrying a Krank Revolution out and i was like "HELL YEA THEY GOT MORE STUFF" and soon as i walk in i walk towards the guitar stuff and i see a Empy Krank cab, and i was like W T F!!!! They eventually kicked me out after they told me they have sold it, and told me i couldnt come back since i caused a "scene" and "damaged" other items.

So now i have no amp to get..and there is nothing anywhere.

So im probally going to just buy on ebay, i buy / sell Lefty guitars from ebay so i know what to look for, so im not to worried.

So ive made a list to look for a good amp, the purpose of this thread is for more "Metal + Heavy Metal" amps if your wondering after my story

-KRANK REVOLUTION
-Krankenstein + (tried out a regular then a plus and the + is A LOT better IMO)
-Mark IV (Combo)
-Framus Cobra
-Peavey 6505+ (Maybe)
-
-
-

so some good rec's would be good. Im going used, less then $1500 (used, dont want to buy anything new i dont think. Ebay links would be great.

-

-Also please dont reply with some smartass awnsers, im really not in the mood to get "flamed" by a 13 year old behind a computer...

Man that is so hilariously unlucky. Nice job on the scene causing and item damaging
It's about time these pricks with their name badges and pearly white smiles and silver spoons up their asses get what they deserve after being such twats.

lol, that is a pretty funny story, still ****ty that they sold it on you. I agree about the + series, I like mine quite a bit. Did you get to compare a Rev+? I've really wanted to hear that beast.

As for more suggestions, you've got some good ones already, although I would go for the Mark IV head instead of the combo. Framus Dragon would be another to look at, ENGL powerball/fireball/blackmore, VHT Deliverance, maybe even an older 2ch Dual or TRec if you can find one. If you like the hotrodded Marshall tones, the Splawn Quickrod should also be in that pricerange used. Just some more to consider.

I ment to put head, i guess i need to proofread stuff.

It was just a Plain Rev, and it was a total beast.

It's definitly going to be my last amp for a long time so i might go out and buy the Rev+ brand new it'l set me back $1,600, but good tone doesn't come cheap. I will probally buy one off ebay, just from some one with a return policy.

I really liked it with the matching cab do you like Krank cabs Erock? I can't remb what speakers the Rev cab had but it was a lot nicer then all the cabs ive played before.

yeah, I really like the Krank cabs. They are one of the few solid hardwood cabs out there actually. They make a great cab IMO. The Rev comes with Eminence V12 Legends, and the Krankenstein cab comes with Texas Heats, both of which I like. The "Mark IV clip Lead w/OD808", and "Krank Krankenstein+ clip" in my profile were both mic'd on the Krankenstein cab, and the "Krank Krankenstein Lead ch clip 1" was done on a Rev cab w/V12.

From your pic's and clips they look and sound amazing... Another cool thing i noticed is you can actually see the speaker. The reason i say this is i just purchased a mic setup and the mesh on my marshall cab is so thick i cant even see the speaker to see if im placing it in position 1-9 lol Its been alot of guess work....

thanks man. And yeah, I know what you mean, mic'ing with that cloth is tough. As an aside, they are great about their customer service too, probably the best experience I've had with any support staff.

^ ha and thanks for the 411.

Would you buy the Rev+ new or if i can find just another Rev used?

tough call, I haven't tried the Rev+, I'm not sure the difference will be as big as it was with the Stein+. I'm sure if you held off and waited for one to pop up, they will come on eBay. I saw a Rev+ go for $1200 BIN earlier this month, I almost bought it myself just to try out.

*wouldnt let me edit so sorry for the dbl post*

i saw this-- maybe if it was $1200 BIN i would pick it up since i like the Stein+ but i think i got my heart set on a Rev.

yeah, don't settle if the Rev is what you really want, they are too close in price. There will be more Rev+ that come up. I don't think there was a lot to fix on the original Rev though, you might be just as happy with the Rev1. You should be able to get a really good price on them too. I was told the biggest improvement was with the FX loop on the Rev+, so I guess it depends if you use a lot of rack gear.

i go straight Guitar > amp so the + may just be overkill. The only pedals i use is a noise gate and a wah for a couple of my riffs.

Ill keep my eyes open for just a Rev still, but its been like 2 weeks (or more) that iv'e been ampless so im kind of tired of it. thanks for the help.

All this talk about Krank and hearing Erocks is making me think twice about them. I might have to try one out. I always heard bad things about them, but then again i hear bad things about everything lol

They are worth a shot. I was like man these things must really suck. (looking at the HC reveiws) and i played one and loved it.

I might get one for $1250 (which is a little high, dont want to go over $1100 for one used.) but it's that or nothing. Called every music store withen 200 miles, made about 10 Craigslist posts, ETC. And i really dont want to wait to much longer no amp blows. Ill wait another week and see.
