Alrighty, so my friend's starting guitar. I told him I'd help him get set up... like recommend some guitars, tell him good techniques, some useful exercises. Any idea what guitar he should start out with? He said about $200 would be good. Probably a Squier starter kit, or maybe Epiphone, I just want some input from my bros at UG.

No. Everybody dies. And one day, given that your relationship doesn't crash and burn like so many do, one of you will end up deep in sorrow while watching the other one die.
