I am looking for a guitar with a tele body, a price under 320, and not just squier.

Any recommendations would be well appreciated.

I will always recommend yamaha telecasters, though they do need a pickup swap. But even with the new pickups the price should be under 320

Isnt the MIM standard around that price? (im not sure for canadian $)

Tokai? Or a Mexican Standard. Vintage (jhs.co.uk). Don't write off Squier, my affinity rocks socks, and you can get higer end Squiers which are humbucker equipped with chambered mahogany bodies, as well as '69 thinline semi hollow variations. Also, look into the Baja Tele from Fender. Just above your price but worth it I'm sure.

Tele FTW!

Squier Custom Telecaster with Humbucks or P-90's... best for the amount of money (250 dollar...?)

If you could stretch your budget to the price of the Baja, then I really recomend at least trying it/considering it, the one I played was VERY nice, alot better than the MIM standard, nearing on MIA quality IMO. (the same with all of the Classic Players series)
