So it being valentines day I met up with my GF (nono she didn't buy me a guitar haha) and we went into the local music shops in town.

Im sure most of you are aware of Faith guitars well i stumbled accross the Jupiter Hi-Gloss (that's the jumbo) for the very reasonable sum of £250. And as far as I'm aware they should be over double that. It plays very well, has great woods too. It will probably need an action adjustment as there isn't enough relief in the neck (very very straight) but otherwise hell yes!

BUT

I also played a Freshman FA400D which is an all solid drednaught which sounded pretty much exactly the same as the Faith (has the exact same woods (englemann spruce top and solid rosewood back and sides), but has a bit more comfortable neck and nicer string spacing (abit wider i think). The problem being it costs literally twice as much as the faith...

What do you guys think? Any experience of either two? Are there any better guitars about for the same kind of money?

Cheers

have a look for LAG guitars, very nice, beautifully made, play like a dream, action on mine was a bit high but orgasmic feel to it

The LAGs I've played have been somewhat medeocre... the supplier for them in the UK is about a 5 minute drive from my house and I work in one of the local guitar shops... might be worth asking work if i could get a lift down there some time..
