2 songs here... read the rules about song limits this time >_< . Well anyway, I consider them more alternative or rock, but you can tell me that. Echo is fairly long, about 7:48 or so I think. Atelophobia is a bit shorter at about 5:59. Constructive criticism is greatly appreciated. C4C as usual if you leave a link. Enjoy .

atelphobia
amazign all the way though
great riffs and well thought out
would be a 10
but you have no real solo =\

and

echo
such incredible sound
but also missing a great solo
and a lot of your leadwork is drown out by the rest of the instruments
and with an name like echo, you should totally have some good echo effects on the lead guitar
but this is definatley a 10/10

overall some great works youve got right there

Thanks for the crit, really appreciate it. Solos... probably the thing I'm worst with. I really don't know how to make them very well, I had trouble just making that ending solo thing when the distortion guitars come in. Any links to helpful sources or anything would be a big help, or even feel free to edit it yourself and show me the result so I can get a feel for what I need to do.

well
for these songs
a good source would be steve vais passion and warfare album
listen to the solos on there
they should really inspire you for some good solos for this
and ill see what i can do myself, but this type isnt my forte so to say

Atelophobia -
niec waves in the beginging, and use of keyboards!
the drums are nice and good chord useage,
th elittle lead riff is pretty cool! the harmony to it goes well!

the verse riff is a bit boring, but maybe with vocals it wouldbt be as boring!
nice little solo/lead bit!

the chorus is ****ing amazing! qutie epic sounding!
the postchorus/preverse is fairly cool!

the verse 2 riff is a better than verse 1 imo. the chord 'stabs' make it less boring!

and the outro is very good! all over, 9/10!

echo -
nice acoustics and vocal melody, amazing harmonys!
when guitar 2 does the chords its still all very good!

and after that when theyre both picking, very ncie!

amazing lead part on guitar 1!

distortion comes in, nice little lead! maybe a harmony there? wouldbe cool.
ooooo strings! i love strings!

very well done, and now the drums are coming in.

ok that made me jump a bit, but its all sounding good! sort of trivium-y?!

the 3-5 type riff is pretty cool for basically whats 2 notes!

wow, chorusy type bit is pretty cool.
then back to the verse triviumy bit.

again, very very very good strings!
and back to clasical guitar!

Amazingg!!!!

and the little lead bit again!

little distorted riff, a harmony would sound better here, i think it should have it. leave the first one as it is!

pretty cool solo! *something the first song lacked IMO*

yay, more strings and classical guitars!

the harmony on them is pretty cool!

and tadah, the end!

150/10!!!
I deeply regret the 6661 in my username. Siiiigh. Damn you, 14 year old me, you edgy little bastard.

=D Thanks for the long crit! Glad you liked them. Still learning to make solos, but I honestly didn't think a big "solo" would fit Atelophobia, so I just added little lead parts in the verses to keep it interesting. Thanks for the input, helped me a lot!!

echo is the bomb
i could sleep to it

the harmony is the best part in my opinion

when it actully gets recorded it going to sound amazing

Both songs are beautiful, just gorgeous.

For the first one, 9/10.
+love the intro with waves
+strong intro
+harmonies make me happy
-verse is a tad generic

Second song, 10/10.
+so emotional
+flows between parts amazingly
+beautiful

i like echo better than atelophobia, but the waves effect is cool. i could never find a way to properly use sound effects. it's soothing at first but epic. both are good.
more solos though, please, maybe use some more variation (it's a lot of the same pattern, and also add some tapping or harmonics maybe?). anyway, onto echo, i like the layered harmonies and violins, it's even more epic.

c4c please? they're in my sig.

I like Atelophobia, I think the the thing that you should work on is the verse riff, it's a tad repetetive - the rest of the song is great though! I like the harmony work on the two leads, and the fact you took your time working up to the main song.
