i just finished making a metal pick for myself and it works really well and is pretty comfortable. my question is, though, are there any disadvantages to using a metal pick? or any advantages (besides not having to worry about it wearing down)? i don't know if it would be more beneficial for me to keep using the metal pick or go back to plastic.

it could wear your strings faster, but there are several guitarists who have used metal picks before, such as billy gibbons and brian may.
