I wanted to get a converter for my headphones to plug into
MY AMP. (sry for the error)
I have a big converter but for some reason it doesn't work.

Why would I use headphones u might ask?

For like night playing so I don't wake people up (lulz).

plugging them directly into your guitar probably wont work.

waltz down to RadioShack and get a 1/4th inch to 1/8th inch converter if you're running it through something else. otherwise i'll recommend a Pocket Pod for quite practice.

What's the amp? Any headphone output. The 1/4 adapter should come with your headphones or be bought for literally two or three dollars (I like Sweetwater since the shipping's free).

Easy, stick the 1/8 to 1/4 adapter to the headphone port, and plug in headphones when you want to.

whenever i use headphones on my 5150, i can still hear sound coming out of my amp. I am using cd player headphones with a converter. That maybe why. actually now as i think about it, when we were recording, we used headphones and we could play the song and mic the drums (so we wouldnt have to do the song 5 different times for each track. we were going to put each guitar on 2 different tracks, with vocals on another, and bass on another, and drums on another.) We all had headphones so that we could play the song only once, but that didnt work since sound was still coming out of our amps. we both have 5150s btw.....
