I just said "Yes,"
so he opened the door.
Once I stepped through
the hopeless portal, of cracked
rusted, hinges,
the world behind me shrank,
puddles evaporating beneath
my feet. I was looking at the
floor, my attention was
that of a devout student.

Endless meadows! From the
full--stretch of the horizon,
flowers grew, dancing happily
in the hues of a content flame.
Amazing, more than this meadow,
described, more than by words,
was the sky.
Resinous oranges, and reds and pinks
they blossomed, and flooded over the cloud banks,
to wet the blue sky.
