There was a thread like this a few weeks ago, but it fell apart when people started to ignore the rules . Please follow the rules and respond to other people's posts

RULES

include the following in your post:

1. Give an answer to the user directly above you

2. Say what genre you want your song to be

3. Say how hard you want the song to be and how long you have been playing (so others can select a song of appropriate difficulty)

4. Give any other info about what kind of song you want (fast, slow, with or without a guitar solo, what tuning)

I would like an epic metal song from any prog-metal or thrash band. I have been playing for about 8 months and i want to give myself a bit of a challenge - standard tuning

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

I want a power metal song myself.
I've been playing for 2+ years, but I've learned really fast, so don't be afraid to throw something in with a fast picking solo.

Since you have 12 years, you want metal, and something fast, I’d go with The Suffocating Sight by Trivium. (best I could come up with).

Mathcore to Hardcore-
No more than 6 minutes- hard level- intermediate to advanced level.

You didn't really specify the difficulty you wanted so I'm gonna go with Texas Floods by Stevie Ray Vaughn.

I've been playing for 3 years and want something kind of shred-ish, with a nice sounding solo.

Speed-wise I would like it to have some sections about as fast as the intro riffage in Scarified by Racer X. And some sweeps.
