Howdy, i'm new here as a member but i've been reading the forum for a while. N-ways, i decided to write because i'm looking for a good online teacher. i wanna learn to shred. i contacted Bill Hudson from cellador and Steve Smyth from nevermore but none of them responded. also, i'm not sure how this works.

has anybody here taken lessons over the internet with either of those 2 or any other teachers?

there's no good guitar teachers where i live even 2 hours away!

yeah i had the same initial response lol, didnt post it because I wasnt sure if I wanted to be a dick today...but since you took the liberty of saying it,

Ok, first of all, you learn to play before you even start wanting to make solos. Second, you don't go ask random guitarests over the internet to teach you, it doesn't work like that. You learn through either a tutor, books, or theory over the internet. Guitar books don't cost much, tutors can vary on cost, and a lot of guitar help on the internet is free.

ok, here's my third plug for UG (still waiting for my medal)

this site has lessons for everyone. just look in the lessons section.

now. contacting someone famous is fine, but if they respond, they're usually just bored and are going to charge you an arm and a leg just to teach you
