yeah jack is pretty sick, but the stripes have been around since early/mid 90's, i don't really keep up with too many new bands but from what I hear it doesn't seem like there are too many good guitarists from really new bands.

It's a toss- up.

Dan Auerbach (Black Keys)
Corey Bealieu (Trivium)
Justin Hawkins (The Darkness)

Also, I think Gabriel Garcia from Black Tide is going to be one of the new "in" guitarists within a few years.

For some reason John Mayer is the odd man out.

Probably Davey Knowles from Back Door Slam. Not very well known band but kick out some serious blues!

Not really my music style, but I can't refute that he is a pretty damn good guitarist.

Add Mark Morton to the list, forgot about him.

Jim Root as well. Love his style.

Also caught her playing fallout boy on my guitar, changed my strings and cleaned it the next day.

Definitely the guys from Kasabian and Interpol.

It's hard to say who is ever playing what with Kasabian, and with Interpol it's the combination of the 2 guitars that makes them great. They both have great bass players, too.

The drummer in Interpol is kind of like Ringo Starr... he's not the most technical player, but he's damned good at what he does. The drummer in Kasabian never really stands out, though.

anyone wanna clear this up for me?
i though syns been in a7x for like ages...
im not a huge a7x fan, but ive heard kids say they like their "old stuff," and its hard to have old stuff, if you formed 8 years ago...
anyways...
i sort of want to kill herman li. and im not that big of a fan of any particular new guitarist.

Andrew Stockdale - Great classic rock/ stoner feel. I love it

Matt Bellemy (sp?) - Spanish infulence, great landsacpe sounds, he's more a favored musician.

And Jack White - the rawness and power of the blues from my hometown, I love his sound and style
