Hi. i am going to buy a guitar. the problem is, i have no idea which! ( )

I really like strats; however, i love les pauls also.

the music i play is Classic Rock, Hard Rock, etc. (a little blues and jazz thrown in at times)

I am stuck between the options up on the poll, and of course there is an extra poll answer that says Another Guitar (post the guitar and why).

please help me choose!

well, would you be playing more lead roles or secondary roles? And how long do you plan on keeping this one guitar before you upgrade?

Well you already have a fender, so why not get a amp.

well to be honest the MIM fender i have had for ages and it is not of great quality.

as for the amp, i could also possibly get a new one instead.

I'd kill for a third Jackson.
I love everything about them, craftsmanship involved, neck size, and versatility. And they're very comfy playing standing up and sitting down in most cases.

people who start these theads are sooo stoopid.

try EVERY guitar at your local music stores till youve narrowed it down then compare your favorites till its narrowed down to 1 then double check.

theres always something better.

If your want to improve your tone go with a new amp, your current guitar is fine.

Fender or Strat, any of them will work just fine for you. In the end it's ALL about your taste. Which one you like best and so...
No guitar is a bad guitar.

Fender or strat? Whiskey Tango Foxtrot? Am I missing something there?

IF you go forward with getting a new axe I agree with the posts above that recommend trying out a bunch of guitars and making your decision based on what you think of them. Whenever I do this, I spend half as much cash as I intended and am even happier with the guitar because I got a deal on it.

I recommend an amp though, you may need that more than another guitar.
I wondered why the frisbee was getting bigger, then it hit me.

New amp. It'll be much more worth it. For the genres your playin a fender hot rod deville or deluxe, or a peavey classic 30, or a Laney VC30. Amps make up for alot more of the sound than guitars.
